It was 1930 when Fred J. Redeker opened the door to our original store at 710 Story Street. It had four floors including a lower level and was considered a landmark in Boone for decades.

Located between 7th and 8th street in Boone, an existing building underwent extensive renovations to better accommodate our thriving business with a more accessible and larger showroom.

Rapid growth and a greatly expanded customer base led to the Redeker family building a new, much larger store and nearby warehouse on the south edge of Boone in 1971.

With nowhere to expand, the family decided to once again build from the ground up. The newest Redekers provides customers the ultimate home furnishing shopping experience: one large open showroom, an abundance of natural light and a location convenient to all of Iowa. Doors opened in October 2015.
